As someone who loves making music, whether original or not, I agree.

-Just remember though, frustrating as it may get. Imo- its more important YOU enjoy creating. Although you may not get the large following you want. The ones that follow you, DO enjoy what you bring to their lives. That's what matters! -imo. Keep it up!

That will always be a "problem"? Idk if that's the right word to say/ - or thing, with creative platforms and tools. Some will chase their glory with minimal effort and succeed while others may take their time and slowly gain a following.

Or get upset that 2 different people shared it with them, like the whole internet is trolling them... But I also get tons of love from the community as awhole and I don't take it for granted... That keeps me going. So thanx, you've supported me too😄

You definitely are not alone on this. I can be sarcastic back to people who get upset about sharing, I just try and point out the ignorance in how they react while killing em with kindness. And there at least needs to be a way to filter notifications...

    Agree on all points.
You and I have a very similar struggle, and method of promotion.
I have no sympathy for people who are so impolite and ignorant of how Dreams browsing structure fails us musicians.

I say continue to share your work (I mostly like and play stuff on my alt).
I wish there was a trending page for elements, because elements are the foundation of Dreams. But as it is now, if anyone publishes elements w/o sharing, it flies under the radar.

I know exactly what you mean. Sharing alone can take hours, just so that players could see your work.
Same as you, I share and supply the community with assets instead of music. Most will like it, then theres always that 1 guy that hates it.

So true man. Keep sharing. People have the option to block if it bothers them that much. There's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting your art to reach others. Why keep it all to yourself? Our support is in the thousands, while only a handful complain :]

My Dreams do ok and I have a moderate following. When I make a new Dream I try to find a new track and mention the person in description to get them attention because it does seem to be harder for musicians to get traction.

What does me with some Dreamers (not all) is they focus on remixing games.
    Where are the original games?
Personally Mm reward original games, vids and music.
Also copyright stop YouTubers uploading say a Mario remake.

I totally agree with this. I try to select certain people to share music with as to avoid spamming, yet it is mostly the only way to get noticed. Something should be done

Personally, i don't make music but i strongly agree that they should reward the music creators and make it more appealing, its really sad when memes and other silly stuff get more likes than most of the well made dreams that costs months of hard work.

I do think there's an oversaturation of memes and crappy remakes of the same games.

Its 2020, everyone complain about something trivial, ironically those same people are desensitize to war, this pandemic and crime.
    Common sense isn't that common.
I totally agree with the message.
If it p_ss off people, even better :)

Musicians especially underground musicians dont get enough credits.
Worse someone creating a game and uses someone elses music takes full credit.

Apathy is so frustrating when so much time and effort has been put in. As well as what you suggested I'd like to be able to search least thumbs so I can support some of the underdogs who deserve it.
