5) An option to reset the glider in airspace if the player crashes, flies into a volcano, or has similar mishaps.
6) Your control manual has the thumbstick functions reversed. Easy fix 👍
7) I'll list more thoughts/suggestions if I think of any :D

2) More sound design would be fantastic!
3) An option to cycle through multiple camera angles (fixed views from the nose and tail of the glider would be super welcome!)
4) Ability to turn the glider left and right (probably with and .)

Lovely -- coming along quite nicely!
Suggestions to add/improve:
1) Glider customization. Awesome feature, but it's messy and confusing to engage with. How many options do I have to choose from? Does each button have its own unique function? Etc.
