If you check the house options in order (leaving the garage for last) then the garage leads to a dead end. If you don't leave the garage for last then it works fine.

All 4 options in "My room" lead to inescapable dead-ends.

If you go into the kitchen in your house there's no text, only a black screen. There doesn't seem to be a way to return from that either.
