What the? Is the red screen dream bubble loading screen a feature?

I was playing this game and got stuck on the second level, then I swore I started seeings things for like split seconds through the doorway of my room which caused me to stop playing. I think there might be something wrong with me.

I think this is the best use of my knife i have seen. Interesting idea
