I agree that it's a bit visually murky. And I'll add that the character control is a tad loose and imprecise -- the momentum propelled me off platforms by sheer accident a few times.

My biggest issue was the lighting: Everything is way too dark (and thus not readable enough for gameplay purposes). Hope you're still working on this, though!
