If we have more than one thing of the same type selected and one of them has their tweak menu open, then changes will affect those selected things. If you're not aware that you had multiple things selected and make a change, then you've just made changes to objects that you don't know about... until later on when you find your stuff is bugging out. So some sort of visual indicator in the tweak menu itself would avoid that problem.
For example, a pattern to the background. Or settings have a black border. That kind of stuff. Something that's clear in the place where you're actually making the change.
