When moving gadgets in a timeline or dragging the start/ends it can be difficult to know how things are lining up with other gadgets. Like, is it snapping to the column? Is it butting right up against that other gadget or is there a gap? etc.
When moving gadgets in a chip it can be difficult to tell if things are "straight." Like, are these laser scopes lined up or slightly out?
And for wire nodes especially--as they're used specifically to draw straight lines with our wires--it can be hard to tell if they're straight without dragging the edge of the window over to them to compare or something.
If you're a touch analytical and need these things to be "just so" (like me)... it can be annoyingly time consuming getting things all nice and tidy. So this feature would be a switch to toggle on in guides, that would draw lines out of whatever you're moving.
For gadgets in a timeline, draw lines up/down along the plane of the window at the start and end of the gadget. Perhaps some sort of highlighting could be done while grabbing a gadget on a timeline to show what gadgets its start/end is perfectly lined up with. So then you're safe in the knowledge it's snapped as you want it instead of zooming waaaaaay into the frame-columns to make sure.
For gadgets in a chip, draw lines across the top, bottom, left, and right of the gadget so you can easily see if it's lined up nicely or it's a notch off.
And for wire nodes/pins, while grabbing/placing one show lines going up/down/left/right from the pin so you can visually tell if the wire is straight when you want it to be straight.
Just a nice simple little addition that would help us keep our stuff tidy if we want it to be.
