Laser Scopes are, by nature, very nervous creatures :) seams between sculpts or even detail can affect their readings and make for a very jittery output.

Of course there are ways to mitigate that (like easing the output via signal manipulator) but it would be cool if Laser Scopes could detect not a single point but a small area, and then return the average of their readings.

That option would trade the gadget's accuracy for a more stable output, a useful tradeoff depending on your situation.
