I got to thinking about one way Dreams could give creators control of who has access to play their games. There are a few applications that I can think of that creators could benefit from a system like this. Application 1: Playtesters. It would be really nice if you as the creator could release a version of your creation to a smaller audience for the purpose of player feedback and bug searches. This way you don’t release your game to a broader audience buggy or simply not fun, missing your good first impression mark. Application 2: Paid Creations. I got to thinking of ways in which creators can make money off of their creations, even if it is from external sources such as Patreon or even sponsors. Placing a benefit of “early access” on your Patreon page might give incentive for people to help support a creator. My suggestion of how this could work: I believe it is quite simple. You the creator of a Dream send an invitation through PlayStation Messages, that has an access key to early access of your Dream. These “keys” could be generated from the Dreams software
