I've just tried Dreams for the first time on a PS5 (my brother's, so I won't always have access to this specific console). Obviously my local data wasn't transferred over, but this isn't really an issue, because I save my creations online. Unfortunately, one thing that hasn't been saved is my Imp, and it just reset to a default one when I started playing on the new console.
You can normally save up to 10 Imps to switch between, however this was apparently local data, which I am currently unable to transfer from my PS4.
I tried searching for an Imp similar to my previous one via Imp surprise, however I've since unlocked a lot more Imps, so the potential number of permutations is a lot higher. I couldn't find one I was happy with.
I do feel Imp customisation is due an overhaul soon, where you can manually pick their characteristics. For now, I would prefer an in-game method for backing up your Imps.
