At the moment the blending works differently depending on if it's output from a transmitter or a receiver and using fat wires or not etc., the rules for which are pretty esoteric and hard to figure out by yourself.

But also it doesn’t always work in the way you’d want it to work. What if you don’t want it to blend? What if you do want it to blend but the inputs are thin wire values? What if you're using a transmitter because that's the more performant way around to have it, but you want it to blend?

It can be incredibly frustrating if wifi is exactly what you need but the blending makes it useless. Or if you don’t understand why it’s giving you a half value or messing with the values sometimes. This would give us some control over how the incoming signals are merged and allow for more possibilities. As well as making it clear how these things are working (via tooltips on the different modes).
