My work flow for music consists of me using my tablet and music software to pick the key, types of sounds I want, note patterns etc and then I copy those into Dreams when I have time to use my PS4. For me personally I find this quicker and easier than the button presses on the controller, lining the notes up in the piano role, setting up a chord or arpeggios, etc(and because my PS4 is hooked up to the family tv limiting my use time).
So my suggestion would be a Dreams music lite app. It’s just for music creation. Uses only the Mm instruments. Drag and drop instruments. Play the notes on the on screen piano. All tabs within the instruments are exactly the same. Touch controls act exactly the same as using the imp. (Possibility of integrating the voice/instrument recorder)
Tracks can then be saved to your Dreams profile and picked up for more editing if needs be on the PS4.
