I just did a small Bonsai tree that I am reasonably happy with, but that single tree alone burst the complexity meter as I built it out of individual elements. I figured it would be worth talking about how to be more effective in that regard.

The leaves could obviously made out of paint strokes instead. I could also use a big blob with high looseness for the main leaf part of the tree and add some style setting to it to create the impression of individual leaves.

What about the trunk though? Its currently sculpted in the continuous 3d stamping tool and if I understand correctly, every individual "stamp" still is a single element that goes toward the complexity meter.

Is there any way to permanently combine individual stamps so they count as one object? How does one use the shape sculpting without filling up the meter too quickly?

Looking forward to your ideas :)
