OK, maybe I should just give up and snap microchips to objects I want to move but if the surface is curvaceous, it can be tricky to get the angel I want exactly right.
If a simple mover is snapped to an element and it's set to 'Local Space', it will move that object relative to its orientation.
If the mover is not snapped to the element, you can wire up its affected object 'output' to that element to move it but now the Local Space of the element is ignored in favour of that of the chip, even though the displayed axes appear on the element itself.
Is this a bug? I even try grouping the chip with the element in question but it still won't work.
