I have an idea for a side scrolling beat’em up/rhythm game where you do more powerful attacks to enemies by hitting the right button in time with the music.

This seems possible using timelines and logic, but I can’t quite figure out how to pull off the logic side of things. I’m assuming it will involve the controller sensor and an AND gate?
Basically what I want to say is “if the player presses x and it’s at this point on the timeline, this will happen” but it’s the “at this point on the timeline” bit that I can’t quite wrap my head around.

I reckon I can probably figure it out through a lot of experimentation, but does anyone have tips before I get stuck in?
