Their description says they're used to create elements like sliding glass doors and dimmer switches for lights, but I'm not sure how to use them for the sliding doors.
Do you place 1 between 2 doors or do you use 1 on each door connected to a wall?
If its the latter, you could just use pistons, but if its the former, there's no immovable surface (parent) to hold the slider in place.
Unfortunately, the tutorial for the slider explains how to use it as a dimmer switch. which is really cool, but its not what I need right now.
