Totally agree on this.

My current ridiculous workaround (to have at least a glimpse of how the glowing text will be displayed once the scene runs) is to actually cover the text with the tweak panel UI.
Weirdly enough, if the glowing text is covered with the textbox tweak panel UI, you will see a (albeit very blurry) preview of the text glowing.

I've used this only for text non on-scene, so unsure if it works there too.

But yea, definitely needs an improvement there.
