Timed events with resetting scoreboards would be nice, but they're unlikely to be implemented in a way where the reset is triggered by logic between a Time & Date gadget and a Score gadget in a scene. Any logic in a scene runs on a user's PS4, so activating that logic to reset a scoreboard would still be "doing it manually". Resetting scoreboards without user intervention would have to be a scheduled server side event, and there's no reason for it to be interacting with any logic in a scene.

But there are still some ways in which the Time & Date gadget would be useful for timed events. For example, if you have a "best scores this week" scoreboard and a "best scores last week" scoreboard, then internally to the logic of your scene, they could have private names "best scores even numbered week" and "best scores odd numbered week" and the Time & Date gadget could drive logic that decides to which one a score is posted. And the server side scheduled events could swap the scoreboards' public names "best scores this week" and "best scores last week" and reset the one that's just received the name "best scores this week". This would also require a new feature that allows scoreboards to have public names different from their private names in the scene.
