I left this on Twitter, but I'll paste it here for posterity...

Text gadget: holds text, outputs a text ID, input trigger for the system keyboard to overwrite the text.

Text combiner: inputs for multiple text IDs, outputs new text ID.

Wire a text ID into a name/text setting.

 

Expanded: text combiner could be folded into text gadget. If the text is empty, just appends the inputs together. Otherwise, use "blah \1 blah" and input "TAPgiles" to output "blah TAPgiles blah."
