While i understand the need to find new avenues to optimize logic and squeeze every ounce of power from your console, the advantage (i'd say the uniqueness) of Dreams is precisely the exposure of all its nuts and bolt and pieces of logic.
A compiled "thing" gadget, while optimized and efficient, is still a big black box known only from its creator (and only for, like, a month until he forgets too) and goes in direct opposition to the "exploded" logic nature of the game.
