I find it hella intuitive. Using both hands together I get very good accuracy when flicking through the menus.
Mayhaps your camera setup isn’t optimal? Putting the camera like 30cm higher than your head and around 1.5 meters away from you is pretty much the sweet spot. That should eliminate any shaking due to tech at least.
Having the menu locked to screen still seems like a nice option for those who want it though.
