Hi, I made this video a little while ago. The technique I am using involves making each room out of 1 hollow sculpt. That way you can use the stretch tool to stretch the sculpt to make rooms of different dimensions.

To make a hollow room sculpt select stamp mode and the cube primitive (probs turn grid on too as this is for a building). While holding the cube press L1 + square to edit your brush. There is a hollow button at the top of the screen. If you grab this button and drag it up/down you can alter how large the hollow in the middle of the sculpt is. In this mode you can also stretch the sides of the room out to the right dimensions. Notice that the walls stay the same width no matter how much you stretch the room. Part of what makes this tool so perfect for sketching out architecture :)

When you are happy with your room just stamp it down.

The advantage to this technique is that because your room is just made of a single stamp you can stretch your room using the stretch tool which is definitely the quickest/most flexible way of working. The down side is that it is very expensive in terms of sculpt data (you are paying for the huge empty volume in the middle of the room) so it’s best to use to initially sketch out a space and the. When you are happy with your layout you can replace with a more optimal building.

Hope this helps :) Peter
