Make sure the control sensor for the character is named the same in all levels
All subseqent levels that you reach through doors. The puppet in the level you enter if named the same as the puppet that exited the previous level will teleport to the door and appear in the position/direction of the door gadgets widget. You can also wire the doors to checkpoints directly
