If you have a puppet in you can enter play mode then back to edit to jump to the puppet position.
Other than that I don't know of any. If you get completely lost might be good picking up something with snap to surface, rotating around it will fly off into the distance when it hits the sculpt and should be able to claw way back from there.
I've found always adding a puppet while I'm working advantageous.
