Another handy tip here that may work for you may be to get rid of the paint strokes altogether and use layering of sculpts to achieve the same/similar effect.

If you copy your cuboid, alter its colour to green, increase its looseness and place it on top of the current cuboid rock sculpt you can make it look like a mossy rock.

Altering scale & rotation of the loose copy as well as its fleck type and impasto etc could produce very good results for less cost to thermo and what the game can draw on screen without slowdown.
