This is quite easy with the right gadgets,

First put the object where you want it to start.

Then keyframe where you want it to go.

Finally grab a signal generator gadget and wire that into the keyframe.

Now the object will be going back and forwards once a second, tweak the signal generator to adjust the timings :)
