Use the sun and sky gadget to turn the sky brightness down to 0%

Then use the paint tool to paint a single dot,
After that tweak the dot and make it glow (so it looks like a star) then go the the cloning page on the paintings tweak menu and click the duplicate around camera to create a basic starfield
