You can do a number of things:
Save one as a creation. Then import it and use that for each instance. When you want to tweak their appearance, select one and click on "edit source." That should update all instances in the scene.
Or you could select all the cores and tweak them all at once. The coat/style/effect tools would work on all the selected pieces at once. Or you can open the tweak menu and the changes should apply to all of them at once (some? most?).
You could even make them all into a group (if they're just terrain or something), to make selecting them all easier later down the line.
