Keyframes aren't too difficult to use.

The way I would set it up is the following:

- Stamp a keyframe, and record the original "full health" colour.
- Stamp another keyframe, and record the "no health" colour.
- Stamp a health gadget (the one that reads the value?)
- Stamp a timeline, and add the keyframes into it. Put the no health keyframe at the start, and full health keyframe at the end. Make sure there's a gap between the two and they're on the same row. Hover between the keyframes and press L1 + X. This goes through the different blending modes (eg. linear, ease-in, etc.)
- Hook the health (0 - 1) value up to the playhead of the timeline.

Now, depending on the amount of health, the colour will be a mixture of those two keyframes.
