Hey!
If you take a look at Connie you can see that she's exactly like a blank puppet under the hood, sure she doesn't look the same but she's just had her pieces replaced.
You can use the blank puppet (deluxe has some bits already set up on it, basic has nothing set up) and go from there.
If you go onto the tweak menu of the puppet you can see that there is a page called Body Structure, that's where the limbs are all assigned, they all feed from the hips, so you have to make sure your character has structure to it to ensure it works with the puppet.
Maybe taking a remix of Connie would help you have a look deeper into it.
There have been lots of questions with responses on the forum in relation to replacing character limbs as well so there should be a lot of information on here to dive into.
But basically using a puppet and changing it is the easiest option as it already has the ability to walk, run and jump by default :)
You could first try changing what the blank puppet looks like and when you feel confident scoping in and out and changing the sculpts you could then add extra bits to the sculpts and then look to amending the connectors that are your puppet's bones, and then maybe making a very different looking character :)
I hope that helps a little.
Thanks,
Cat
