It's a game scene, so you wont find it under dream surfing. I made a quick level to show how this could be used.
To answer the question in this post: the controller gadget has a "Is Dead" output. I wired that to add 1 to the variable every time it's powered on.
Try beating the level without dying and then beat it after dying one or more times to see the different end states.
I named most of my gadgets, so you can remix it and see how everything is set up. Feel free to take any of the logic or leave a comment if you have more questions
