It sorta depends on which gadget output you use. In this case it probably applies only when using the "possessed controller sensor" mode (this is the default mode). So then if player 2 enters the zone, the "player 2" output will send a signal, for example.

If only player 2 is in the zone, the controller colour will send a "colour" fat wire signal, which you could wire into a sculpt's tint colour for example.

"Non player" would probably light up for all other trigger zone modes, as it's not trying to detect players.

As this wire type is used for other things, the positive and negative number outputs are likely more useful for other gadget outputs. Here, it would likely send a 1 signal from the positive number output while something is detected.
