Whale (Painting A Day)

Love the reflections, silhouettes, and shading. What caught my eye was the use of the pinks and magentas. It looks absolutely incredible on its own, but it really compliments the black of everything else. Excellent contrast and choice of color.

Whoa, I love how the layered elements give a tangible depth to this one! It reminds me of the cel animation technique used in classic hand-drawn animated films.
